3rd SFIO Italian Chapter Meeting? Got it!

3rd SFIO Italian Chapter Meeting? Got it!

We did it! The third meeting of SFIO Italian Chapter is over! And it was a great success!

In an intense day of work, in the beautiful (and very comfortable) location of OpenMilano, carefully researched by Chris Bekker, thanks to the passionate participation of guests, interesting reflections emerged, a wonderful atmosphere was created and important experiences were told directly by the main players.

Success stories: a truly valuable element!

Two important success stories about using solution focus as a tool for two typical business situations were particularly appreciated: improving customer satisfaction and rewriting a team’s internal organisation.

The first business case was presented by Federica Mauri, Customer Experience Manager, Barbara Minuz, Customer Experience Supervisor and Elisa Bettinelli, Customer Experience Specialist of Samsung Italy.

Federica, Barbara and Elisa helped us explore how to apply the principles of Solution Focus to management feedback to make it “positive” and how this process has impacted on the customer experience. A lot of questions were received and very interesting reflections were generated! Thank you girls for your availability and for the opportunity to show also some internal data!

The second case was told directly by the trainer who developed it, Fabio Tognetti. With his usual creativity, Fabio showed how the solution focus approach can be of great help even when a team expresses the need to “take a moment” to rethink the way it is organized and the way it is perceived from the outside. A small detail: if you want to know how Fabio “Fabized” (the term is copyright of Marco Matera) the approach, you have to ask him directly! Bravo Fabio!

The “Solution Focus cards”: let’s try the approach!

And finally, an interesting exercise to practice “really” the solution focus and test its peculiarities: the “solution focus cards”, created for this occasion by Marco Matera.

With the help and guidance of the cards, even those who have never had any experience of coaching could verify how powerful this methodology is to “talk about the solution without necessarily delving into any aspect of the problem.

The discussion after the exercises has brought out precisely this aspect: for each situation analyzed, it has always come to one or more steps forward, without ever having to explore any aspect of the problem.

And last but not least…

In closing, we also took the opportunity to “reward” 3 people for their strong desire to know more about the solution focus: Giuseppe Valenti, Fabio Tognetti and Paolo Guazzotti, three colleagues but also three friends who have been with us and have supported us since the first meeting, now more than a year ago! They went to them as a symbol of our appreciation and that of SFIO Italia, one of the bundles of Solution Focus Cards. Thanks guys, you rock!

At this point all that remains is to meet us by 2020 with everyone!

Stay tuned, stay solution focused!
